“Now, with Sweet Dixie, Emerson is headed back to the top again. And Southern is an album fans
won't want to miss.”

Keith Lawrence
Owensboro Messenger Inquirer

"The Rural Rhythm label has been exhibiting consummate taste in its release schedule, and Southern illustrates exactly where they are coming from....as real a deal as Roy Rogers and John Wayne, Emerson's long been celebrated for his innovative banjo work and twangy voice. Emerson comes from 50 years of playing and is indisputably a statesman for the cherished music he so adeptly presents.
FAME

"While it's Emerson and his banjo that drive the album, they never once overshadow the other musicians, and the result is polished music that's truly a pleasure to hear."
